Black Futures

Overview: “Black Futures” is a compelling art exhibition in the heart of Baltimore City that delves into the significance of names within the context of Black youth. This unique showcase invites attendees to explore the stories behind the names of young Black individuals, unraveling the rich tapestry of cultural, historical, and familial meanings woven into each name. 

The exhibition features a collection of visual art, interactive displays, and narrative installations that spotlight the aspirations, dreams, and hopes of the parents who bestowed these names upon their children. Through poignant storytelling, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural roots, historical references, and personal connections embedded in each name. “Black Futures” serves as a tribute to the power of identity and the profound narratives encapsulated in the names that shape the future of Black youth.
